Crocusses and rain

Proud purple flowers
announce the end of winter

like flames in the grass

Despite lashing rain, 

they provide us Spring hope and

some sun in our heart

My  Canadian host sister challenged me to write a haiku about crocusses and rain after a comment I made about our weather last week on her haiku on Instagram.
